Can you help me?
Recently, I found an executable binary.
As I'm a true newbie,
Certainly, to solve it, I will have difficulties.
Keep in mind, the first step is quite easy.
Maybe the last one will be quite tricky.
Emulating it could be a good idea.
The challenge is available at : http://static.quals.nuitduhack.com/stage1.bin

 

stage1.bin 을 실행하면 Usage가 나오고 인자값에 올바른 pass 값을 넣어줘야 하는 것 같다.

 

main 함수.

strcmp로 "Much_secure__So_safe__Wow" 문자열과 비교를 한다.

 

인자값에 해당 문자열을 넣으면 Good good!이 나오고 밑에 무언가 더 출력된다.

 

main  함수를 보면 next_step 배열에서 데이터를 가져와서 인자값과 어떠한 연산을 하고 출력을 해준다.

 

출력값의 맨 아래부분을 보면 == 패딩을 확인할 수 있고 base64로 인코딩 되어 있다는 것을 알 수 있다.

 

online decoder로 확인을 해보니.. stage2.bin을 인코딩 해둔 것 같다.

역시.. 인자값이 필요하다.

 

인자값을 dest에 넣고 signal(11, sub_4007FD)와 signal(8, sub_401050)을 설정한다.

 

kill(pid, 11) 로 인해서 signal(11, sub_4007FD)가 실행이 된다.

 

sub_4007FD는 dest(인자값)과 어떠한 연산을 하고 결과값이 1000이면 signal(11, handler)로 세팅한다.

dest에 68이 들어가야 참이되어 signal이 새로 세팅된다.

 

hander 함수도 위와 똑같다. 어떠한 연산을 하고 결과값이 1000이면 signal(11, sub_4008C7)로 세팅한다.

* 지속적으로 signal을 설정하기 위해서 for(i=0; i<=1023; ++i)를 한 것같다.

 

sub_4008C7에 들어가도 같은 구문이 계속 반복된다.

 

byte_6040C1은 dest의 다음 문자로 인자값 이라고 생각하면된다.

handler 함수에서는 byte_6040C1이 105가 되어야 결과값이 0으로 되면서 새로운 signal이 세팅된다.

 

함수를 쭉 진행하면 마지막에 나오는 함수다. 

아무것도 하지 않는다.. 

 

어셈블리어로 까보면 rbp+var_8에 0을 설정하고 나눠버린다.

 

0으로 나누면 signal(8, sub_401050)이 실행된다.

 

sub_401050이 실행되면 Good good!이 나오고 새로운 문제를 준다.. 언제끝나..
